Beyonce -- Concert Review
Beyonce recently topped Forbes' list of the richest stars under 30, but she clearly is not hoarding the money: A ton of it must have been spent on her latest spectacle of a tour.

The two-hour-plus show offered Beyonce's far-ranging styles, from pop and R&B to hip-hop, reggaeton, electronic and dance.

She also dipped into songs by others -- though they were more tease than covers, linked to her own songs. She cooed through a bit of Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby," Sarah McLachlan's winsome "Angel" and a quick tear through part of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know."

Ultimately, it's all about marketing and branding, from music to clothing lines, fragrances and more. Beyonce has long been a product. That's the way it's been since she emerged as the breakout star in Destiny's Child a decade ago.

Now, some might argue that's the nature of pop -- and very often it is. But the best moments of the concert weren't about glitz and flash: They were about making that connection. And if she's continues down that path, it's a direction that might bring greater artistry, with marketing secondary.

It has been held at the All England Club in the London community of Wimbledon since 1877. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis contests, and the only one still played on the game's unique surface, grass, which gave the game of lawn tennis its name.

The music for the show was written by Ronan Hardiman. Lord of the Dance had preview shows at the Point Theatre in Dublin from June 28 to July 1, 1996. The show premiered on July 2, 1996. The story follows the character “Lord of the Dance” and his fight against the evil dark lord “Don Dorcha” from taking over Planet Ireland. The “Lord of the Dance” defeats the dark lord’s invasion with help from a little spirit. There is also a story with a “love vs lust” theme expressed through dance throughout the show. “Saoirse, the Irish CailĂn” fights for the love of the “Lord of the Dance” against the wicked “Morrighan, the Temptress”. The stories are based on ancient Irish folklore and some Biblical references.

In March 1997, Lord of the Dance was performed at the Oscars. That November, Lord of the Dance expanded operations by forming several troupes of dancers which would tour North America and Europe.
